John McCain Is Stalking Me
I just need to blow off some steam, and this is as good a place as anywhere! The McCain campaign must be swinging into gear here in California. The last couple days I have gotten pre-recorded phone call after pre-recorded phone call from McCain and his associates. I'd unplug the phone or take it off the hook but as I'm trying to make a living and I get the occasional phone call from clients, I can't do that. So every hour I'm up and checking the phone to see if it's work or just another long, droning, monotone voice telling me why I should vote for the guy. I'm not sure what kind of effect they think that has on people, but it's not making me into a dedicated supporter, I can tell you that! Persistence is nice, but there comes a time when it goes too far and just gets a bit creepy. At this point I won't be surprised if I get a pre-recorded voice breathing heavily and asking me what I'm wearing. Mr. McCain, please, I'm not into you and I don't thin I ever will be. Don't make me get a restraining order. Oh dear, he's calling again . . .

I'm not a Republican, but I'm not exactly a Democrat, either. I try to hold all political parties in equal contempt.
